Ea Werner, Intern Cape AI

“Integrating ecological knowledge with drones and AI could revolutionise how we track animals and humans in protected areas. We hope to develop innovative systems to support conservation efforts in South Africa and beyond.”

Matt Lewis

“With great power comes great responsibility, and with the power of artificial intelligence, startups, universities and the wildlife rangers we believe we can take on the poaching problem and protect life on land.”

(FruitPunch is a project partner)

We are planning pilots in different national parks and game reserves.

Using a computational modelling approach we analyze (time-series) data to proactively identify poachers and animals that are in danger. Please get in touch if you know parks and reserves that might be interested in launching a pilot.
