Cape AI was founded at the beginning of 2019 and is currently run by enthusiastic data-driven entrepreneur Pieter Boon and Artificial Intelligence expert Adit Mehta. At Cape AI we believe that skilled AI developers can contribute to a better planet. Together with our clients we shape their future and help improve their triple-bottom-line: People, Planet, Profit. What sets us apart from other consulting firms is that all team members can spend 20% of their time on personal development and prototyping disruptive AI-based business models.
What we’re looking for
We are looking for a problem solver who has experience on both ends of the data science spectrum: building ML models as well as serving ML models in production. Suitable candidates should be proficient in optimising ML models to run in various environments ranging from cloud platforms to edge devices. This may involve building data and model pipelines, working with container architectures, tuning ML architectures, and working with unstructured data (image, video, audio and text).
Profiency building applications and machine learning models in Python
Experience working with container architectures such as Docker and Kubernetes
Experience deploying applications to any of the three big hyperscalers: AWS, GCP, Azure
Experience with relational and NoSQL databases
Experience developing and working with software engineering best practices such as Agile, CI/CD, git, etc.
Applicant requirements
Work visa for the location you are applying for (to become eligible for an inter-company transfer, you need to first work for 1-year at your local office)
Full-time available and willing to travel to clients
Compensation
Competitive based on experience
South Africa: R 20.000 / R 100.000 month
The Netherlands: EUR 2.500 / EUR 8.000 month
